Adopt-a-Highway Summer pick-up event

Wednesday, June 26 from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Join us in helping keep Knox County litter free!

The Owl Creek Conservancy has adopted two miles of highway along one of our conservation easements on SR 95.  We will meet four times a year to pick up litter. We appreciate all volunteers over the age of 12 (ODOT’s rule) who are willing to help keep Knox County beautiful! Trash bags and safety vests are provided.

Meet: Fredericktown Community Park at Sockman Lake. Look for the Owl Creek Conservancy flag

Knox County Fair: 601 Fairgrounds Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050

Take SR 3 north out of Mount Vernon.  After 1.6 miles, turn left onto Fairgrounds Road.  The Fair will be on the right.

KnoxView Farm Winery: 7524 Phillips Road, Fredericktown, OH 43019

Take SR 13 northwest toward Fredericktown.  After 6.9 miles, take the SR 95 ramp and turn left onto SR 95W.  After 2.5 miles, turn right onto Phillips Road.  The winery will be 0.7 miles down on the left.

Bladensburg Community Center:  25821 New Guildford Road, Bladensburg, OH 43005

Take OH 586 (Martinsburg Road) south out of Mount Vernon.  After 10.6 miles, turn right onto North Market Street, then after 0.1 miles turn left onto OH 541.  The Community Center will be 3.9 miles down on the left.

CA&C Depot: 501 South Main Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050

The Depot is located just south of the Viaduct Bridge on Main Street.  Parking is accessible from Columbus Road.

Campbell’s Farm and Sportsman Club: 22430 Coshocton Road, Howard, Ohio 43028

Take SR 36 east out of Mount Vernon 8.1 miles. The Club is on the right.

Fredericktown Community Park: 10 Ankneytown Road, Fredericktown, OH 43019

Take SR 13 northwest toward Fredericktown. After 8 miles, turn right onto Waterford Road, which becomes Salem Avenue. Take SR 95 (Ankneytown Road). The Park is on the right.
